The Delhi Subordinate Services Selection Board (DSSSB) has released its official Advertisement No. 05/2025 for the recruitment of Assistant Teacher (Primary) Recruitment 2025.today. A total of 1180 vacancies have been announced across the Directorate of Education and the New Delhi Municipal Council (NDMC).
Interested and eligible candidates can apply online through the DSSSB website dsssbonline.nic.in between 17th September 2025 and 16th October 2025.

DSSSB will conduct a combined exam for both Doe and NDMC.

Total no of Posts: 1055 (UR – 434, OBC – 278, SC – 153, ST – 62, EWS – 128)
Department – New Delhi Municipal Council (NDMC)
Total Posts: 125(UR – 68, OBC – 28 , SC – 13 , ST – 7 ,EWS – 9)

🎓 Eligibility Criteria
Educational Qualifications (Essential):
For Directorate of Education:
Senior Secondary (10+2) with at least 50% marks and 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed.)
OR
Senior Secondary with 45% marks + 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education (as per NCTE 2002 norms)
OR
Senior Secondary with 50% marks + 4-year B.El.Ed.
OR
Graduation + 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education
Must have passed CTET (Paper-I) conducted by CBSE
Must have studied Hindi/Urdu/Punjabi/English at Secondary level
For NDMC:
12th pass with 50% marks (5% relaxation for SC/ST)
2-year Diploma in Primary Education / ETE / JBT / DIET / B.El.Ed.
Must have passed Hindi at 10th level
Must have passed CTET (Paper-I)
💰 Pay Scale
₹35,400 – ₹1,12,400/- (Pay Level 6, Group B, Non-Gazetted)
salary will be around 50-52k (appx) depending on DA and other allowances.
⏳ Age Limit
Not exceeding 30 years as per latest RR rules issued by govt of GNCTD
Age relaxation:
SC/ST – 5 years
OBC – 3 years
PwBD – 10 to 15 years (depending on category)
Ex-Servicemen – as per govt. norms
Contract/Guest teachers – relaxation up to 5 years (one-time measure) which can be availed only once.
